Job Description

As a Packager, you will float through various tasks and areas within the production environment. Your role will involve making adjustments to machines based on product requirements and packaging sizes, which range from 5 lb bags to 2000 lb totes. Each package is barcoded for traceability. Additional responsibilities include using a computer to create labels, manually stacking bags onto pallets, and dumping totes of raw product into mills. The role requires occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities
  • Float through different tasks and areas within the production environment
  • Adjust machines based on product requirements and packaging sizes
  • Ensure all packages, ranging from 5 lb bags to 2000 lb totes, are barcoded for traceability
  • Use a computer to create labels
  • Manually stack bags onto pallets
  • Dump totes of raw product into mills
  • Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
Essential Skills
  • Experience in packaging and production environments
  • General labor skills
  • Forklift operation
  • Stacking
  • Machine operation
  • Knowledge of food production and GMP standards
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High integrity and character
  • Ability to work in a food grade environment
  • Flexibility to move to a 12-hour shift schedule when required
  • Must not be allergic or sensitive to wheat, sesame, coconut, oats, or dust

Work Environment

The work environment offers flexible hours with training available on a 7a-3p or 3p-11p schedule. However, employees must be prepared to transition to a 12-hour shift (5-5 schedule) when the production line is ready, following a 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 3 off pattern. The dress code includes non-slip shoes (non-steel toed), uniforms provided, and a mask and hairnet.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00
