Scheduling and Planning

  • Successfully monitors staffing needs and makes accommodations for changing manpower requirements.
  • Organizes shifts worked to accommodate production schedule on a real-time basis, evaluates use of overtime ,etc.
  • Successfully creates production/assembly schedules in conjunction with with other departments to ensure availability of machines and materials
  • Demonstrates ability to forecast needs of production.
  • From the on-set of projects, assists engineers with design for production incorporating the role of ease of production, cost, etc..
  • Has the technical knowledge necessary to assist with and work on technical issues that arise at any point of production and assembly: i.e. teams with Project
  • Managers until such time that he receives final approval to commence production.
  • Maintains oversight of production of jigs and fixtures - evaluates jig assembly and performance
  • Prepares and approves of all projects prior to releasing to full scale production, including: materials , fit, screening, etc..

Communication and Follow-up

  • Successfully fulfills role as liaison between the Project Managers and Production.
  • Effectively communicates with production team and forwards all communications from production meetings to his key personnel for implementation.
  • Serves as point person for information on progression of any/all jobs in progress- posts information regarding progress of jobs in production area
  • Effective communicates with all departments in determining priority of production based on due date: delivery dates of materials(purchasing), warehouse space and capabilities (purchasing warehouse), availability of machinery ( CNC)
  • Prepares post production analysis and report to evaluate successes/failures within production of jobs completed.
