Job Description:
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate School Social Worker to provide on-site support for Early Childhood students.This is a 32.5-hour/week position, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The ideal candidate will work with a caseload of 15-20 students and help foster a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment.
This is a contract position for the 2024-2025 school year, offering an opportunity to make a significant impact on the social, emotional, and behavioral development of young children.
Responsibilities:
- Provide social-emotional support and counseling for students.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students as necessary.
- Conduct assessments to determine student needs and provide appropriate interventions.
- Develop and lead social skills groups, providing behavioral support as needed.
- Offer crisis intervention and support for students experiencing emotional difficulties.
- Work closely with parents to provide resources, strategies, and support for students overall well-being.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW).
- Connecticut State Licensure (LCSW or LMSW).
- Experience working with early childhood populations (Pre-K to Grade 3).
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Passion for supporting young students' social-emotional growth.
