Position Overview: As a Paraprofessional, you will play an essential role in supporting the educational needs of students within the school setting. We are seeking dedicated individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact on students' lives and contributing to their academic success.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse learning needs, under the direction of classroom teachers or special education staff.
  • Assist with implementing instructional activities and interventions to support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Support students with disabilities in accessing the curriculum, completing assignments, and participating in classroom activities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment by promoting student engagement, independence, and positive behavior.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral support plans.
  • Assist with classroom management, including monitoring student behavior and implementing appropriate strategies for redirection and de-escalation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures governing student privacy and confidentiality.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of paraprofessional training program or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or childcare setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and meet other state and local requirements for employment in schools
