We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in Clarksville, Tennessee, 37040, United States. This position involves hands-on engagement with all aspects of the finance and accounting functions of the company. The Controller will provide leadership in the development of strategic financial objectives and advise executive management on the financial implications of business activities.


Responsibilities:

• Actively manage all aspects of the finance and accounting functions

• Take a lead role in the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives

• Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities

• Uphold responsibilities for general ledger including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, cash management, 401(k) administration, lease management, and tax filings

• Interact directly with the parent company and affiliates for financial decision making

• Handle month-end closing activities such as sales reports, commissions, financial statement processing and report publication, journal entries, cash account reconciliations, sales tax return filings

• Oversee daily cash management and forecasting, cash reconciliation, and review daily reports for errors or exceptions

• Assist in accounts receivable collections and interact directly with past due accounts

• Publish weekly sales report and manage annual responsibilities including company budget preparation, external financial audits, and physical inventory management

• Provide timely and accurate financial reports to the parent company and collaborate with parent company CFO and Controllers

• Manage the overall activities of the Accounting/Finance, HR, and IT departments

• Oversee the management of the Human Resources activities and assist in the development and economic analysis of various fringe benefit programs

• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

• Possession of a minimum of five years of experience in a Controller role or a similar position.
• Proficiency in using MS Great Plains Dynamics and Microsoft Excel, including Excel Formulas.
• Demonstrated skills in Creative Problem Solving, and the ability to handle complex databases.
• Proven experience in overseeing Financial Operations and administering Human Resources (HR).
• Knowledge and experience in performing Month-end Close Activities.
• In-depth understanding and experience with General Ledger management.
• Must have a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities.
• Familiarity with financial regulations and standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate with various departments within the organization.
