Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated quality inspector for the 2nd shift from 4:00 pm to 1:30 am. The role involves quality-checking the painting of I-beams and other structural metal components, ensuring even coverage. Additionally, the worker will grind steel beams to ensure an even distribution of paint. Training will be provided to check smaller parts for quality and ensure product quality.

Responsibilities
  • Quality check the painting of I-beams and structural metal components for even coverage.
  • Grind steel beams to ensure an even distribution of paint.
  • Handle and inspect smaller parts to ensure good product quality.
Essential Skills
  • 1-2 years of experience as a quality technician.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with paint application, spray guns, structural steel, and quality control.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with grinding and using grinders.
  • Experience working with metals
  • Familiarity with overhead cranes and coating techniques.

Safety is paramount, with extensive PPE provided, including hard hats, safety goggles, and respirators when needed. Steel-toed boots are required. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00
