Job Description
The Quality Inspector is a floor inspector who operates under the direction of the quality manager, quality lead technician, quality analyst, and quality engineers. The inspector uses proven techniques and quality guidelines to evaluate daily testing requirements. The role involves performing laboratory tests and procedures to inspect products timely and providing feedback to peers, production, and management before product release to finished goods. The inspector measures quality performance against product specifications and ensures all testing complies with departmental and company standards, methods, and procedures.
Responsibilities- Complete quality inspections as required to support daily production schedules.
- Perform all testing according to department and company standards, methods, and procedures.
- Assist and provide data to quality inspectors and production team members to support problem-solving efforts.
- Analyze test data results and provide recommendations for product quality approval and lot release to finished goods status.
- Communicate clearly with quality inspectors and production team members on all shifts.
- Collect samples from the production floor for audit and sampling purposes.
- Understand the function, methods, and operation of all test equipment.
- Be proficient with all specifications and method requirements for each film type and grade being produced.
- Work weekends and overtime as required and scheduled by the team leader and management.
- Experience with quality control and quality assurance.
- Proficiency in physical testing and inspection.
- Experience working in a production environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Clear communication skills.
- High School Diploma or GED required; AS degree is a plus but not necessary.
- 2+ years' experience in a Quality Control environment.
- 2+ years' experience in a physical testing lab.

Work EnvironmentYou will work heavily within the production environment, performing inspections and tests to ensure product quality. The role requires availability for weekend and overtime work as scheduled. The work involves using various test equipment and adhering to specific methods and requirements for different film types and grades.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Browns Summit, North Carolina.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $ $18.50/hr.
