Sr. Accountant

Robert Half is working with an organization offering an exciting opportunity for a meticulous Sr. Accountant in the service industry, located in the quad cities or Cedar Rapids. The role involves overseeing a range of accounting duties, including account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting thorough account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial statements

• Performing balance sheet reconciliations regularly to maintain the integrity of financial data

• Executing bank reconciliations to validate the company's cash position

• Maintaining the general ledger by posting and adjusting journal entries

• Utilizing Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting

• Conducting month-end close procedures to prepare for the new accounting period

• Ensuring all accounting practices adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role or in the field of accounting

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Comprehensive understanding and experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Profound knowledge and experience in Month End Close activities

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
