We are a manufacturer of structural parts for leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the large business and regional jet markets. Our experience and capabilities span multiple segments of an aircraft, including the engine pylon, struts, wing box, wings, wheel well, and the interior. Responsibilities- Work independently to analyze drawings, sketches, and design data of parts to determine which features to inspect, verify, and report.
- Write CMM program headers including setup instruction sheets.
- Write CMM programs within the PC-DMIS software.
- Revise programs as required, eliminating errors or omissions.
- Perform CMM inspection on first runs, proving out program and setup instructions.
- Perform surface plate inspections and other duties as assigned.
- Ability to collaborate with external and internal customers and suppliers, including Engineering, Manufacturing, CNC Programming, and Quality (Inspectors and Engineers), to resolve issues and meet customer specifications.
- Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and concentrate on workload for extended periods of time.
- Hands-on inspection experience operating a CMM in a regulated industry.
- Three to five years of recent inspection experience operating a CMM in the aerospace industry.
- Certification in Advanced Level CAD systems (CATIA and AutoCAD).
- Excellent GD&T technical and working knowledge.
- Exceptional inspection skills using CMMs.
