Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods, including Breakfast, Lunch, and Special/Catered Events. This role involves preparing meals for 30-32 patients/beds per day, including room service and pre-packaged meals for the cafeteria.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items.
  • Serve meals for various meal periods such as Breakfast, Lunch, and Special/Catered Events.
  • Prepare meals for 30-32 patients/beds daily.
  • Handle room service orders and short order tickets.
  • Prepare pre-packaged and packaged meals for the cafeteria.
Essential Skills
  • 6 months of prior food production/preparation experience.
  • Experience as a cook in a restaurant handling short order tickets.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience as a PCA can also be a good fit for this role.

Work Environment

You will be working in a kitchen environment alongside a lead for the first 3-5 shifts until you are confident to handle orders independently. This role involves working collaboratively to ensure high-quality meal preparation and service.
