About the Position:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic School Paraprofessional to join our team in Elizabethtown, PA, for the 2024-2025 school year. This full-time position involves providing essential support to teachers and assisting students in their educational journey, particularly those with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, strong communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist classroom teachers in implementing instructional plans and managing classroom activities
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, promoting engagement and participation
  • Help with classroom organization, including preparing materials and maintaining a tidy environment
  • Support students in their daily activities, fostering independence and confidence
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to address students' individualized needs and facilitate a positive learning experience

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree in Education or related field preferred
  • Previous experience working with children in a school or childcare setting is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with students and staff
  • Patience, adaptability, and a genuine desire to support student success
