QA Test Engineer

Robert Half Technology is partnering with a client seeking a QA Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position is located in Metairie, Louisiana, United States, and offers a contract employment opportunity. The role of a QA Test Engineer involves executing tests, developing test plans, and handling test cases. If this sounds like you, apply today


Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive test plans to ensure product quality

• Execute test cases meticulously to identify potential issues

• Analyze test results and report findings to the team

• Collaborate with team members to improve testing processes

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of testing methodologies and tools

• Ensure all tests are executed and give regular feedback to the team on the status of quality

• Conduct post-release and post-implementation testing

• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

• Create logs to document testing phases and defects

• Report bugs and errors to development teams.

Requirements:

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a QA Test Engineer or similar role in the software industry.

• Proficient in designing, developing, and executing test cases.

• Demonstrated ability to manage test execution activities for multiple projects.

• Expertise in developing comprehensive test plans.

• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Knowledge of Agile or Scrum development methodologies would be a plus.

• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is desirable.
