Virtual Speech Language Therapist in California

In response to the evolving landscape of education, VocoVision is seeking a Virtual School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist to join our dedicated team of professionals, providing virtual speech and language services to support the academic and communication needs of our students.
Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and qualified Virtual School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist to work collaboratively with educators, students, and parents to address speech and language challenges in a virtual learning setting. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders to ensure the academic success and overall well-being of our students.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual assessments to identify speech and language disorders among students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication challenges in collaboration with teachers and parents.
- Provide virtual therapy sessions using evidence-based practices to support students' speech, language, and social communication skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and other professionals to integrate speech-language goals into the overall education plan.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting intervention plans as needed.
- Participate in virtual Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and collaborate with the IEP team to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current California State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Experience working with school-aged children is a plus
- Proficiency in virtual therapy platforms and technology is a plus
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a virtual education team.
