Manager of Patient Access Registration

We are offering a contract employment for a Manager of Patient Access Registration to join our team in Santa Cruz, California. The Manager of Patient Access Registration role involves managing hospital patient access and registration, providing leadership oversight, and handling system goals. The Manager of Patient Access Registration requires extensive experience in healthcare administration and patient access.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily leadership oversight to Patient Access/Registration team.
- Managing and maintaining system goals with daily tracking, trending and reporting.
- Work and interpret system-generated reports and daily dashboards.
- Lead frontline registration staff to improve patient services and satisfaction.
- Participate frequently in meetings as the representative of Patient Access/Registration.
- Carry out routine performance evaluations, provide feedback, and contribute to personal development plans.
- Collaborate with different hospital departments for seamless patient registration.
- Ensure compliance with respective state, federal laws, and hospital rules.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate objectives, policy updates, and address concerns.
- Oversee staffing schedules, resolve any operational issues swiftly.
- Coordinate with finance team to handle patient billing and insurance matters effectively.
- Hire, train and manage performance of the staff for overall effectiveness of the team.
- Address and resolve any issues or conflicts in patient registration promptly.
- Continually update and review patient access/registration policies and procedures.
- Identify and implement strategies for improving patient care services.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory / management role within a hospital or emergency department setting
