Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Attorney/Lawyer in the consulting industry, based in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will be drafting and negotiating contracts, working independently, and making informed negotiation decisions.

Responsibilities:
• Draft and negotiate various types of contracts, including engagement letters, and NDAs
• Use internal templates as a basis for drafting contracts and engagement letters
• Make independent decisions on contract negotiations, using sound judgement to determine when approval is necessary
• Respond to inquiries related to contract drafting and negotiation
• Ensure all contracts comply with legal requirements and company policies
• Provide legal advice and support on a range of legal activities
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure contracts serve the best interest of the company
• Conduct legal research and analysis as needed
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry laws and regulations.• Must hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the state bar where the position is located
• Proven experience as an attorney, preferably in a corporate environment
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents and contracts
• Strong consulting skills, particularly in a corporate context
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with the ability to find creative legal solutions
• Exceptional negotiation skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• High ethical standards and professional integrity
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet strict deadlines
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in legal research and the ability to stay updated with the latest legal trends and regulations.
