Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will work on assignments that are moderately complex in nature, requiring sound judgment to resolve problems and make routine recommendations. This role involves handling patient profiles, verifying prescriptions, and ensuring accurate information is processed efficiently to support patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Review the contents of referral to ensure complete and accurate information has been received.
  • Create patient profiles from scanned or faxed images by entering correct patient and provider information.
  • Conduct initial checks of prescriptions to ensure clinical accuracy for processing.
  • Communicate with providers regarding referral status, prescription clarification, missing information, or patient concerns.
  • Update concise progress notes to ensure other roles within the workflow can quickly assess the status of the referral.
  • Enter new provider information, such as National Provider Identifier, accurately into the system.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • 2+ years of pharmacy operation experience
  • NC Registered (NCBOP) preferred
  • Competent in data entry
  • Customer service skills
  • Prior experience working in a pharmacy setting
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Competent in basic computer skills
  • Multi-task oriented
  • Ability to effectively work with people
  • Conscientious and detail-oriented
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • High School Diploma required
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Healthcare experience preferred
Work Environment

This position is based in a call center environment. You will be working onsite Monday to Friday, with shifts from 8 am to 8 pm EST, and closed on weekends and major holidays. The office environment does not involve direct patient contact. Training will be conducted from 9 am to 6 pm, and successful candidates may choose to stay on that shift or move to a 10 am to 7 pm schedule. If hired permanently, the schedule will be hybrid.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00
