Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and service-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the warehouse and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate company-owned vehicles safely to deliver merchandise to and from customers and suppliers.
  • Load and unload merchandise on vehicles.
  • Obtain signatures on delivery and pick-up tickets.
  • Follow assigned delivery schedules and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Report accidents in accordance with company policies.
  • Pull and check customer orders, preparing them for delivery.
  • Place stock in proper bin locations and maintain a clean and safe warehouse.
  • Report operating problems or maintenance needs on vehicles.
  • Maintain vehicles in a neat and clean condition.
  • Provide courteous and service-minded interactions with customers.
  • Receive and ship merchandise.
  • Inform supervisor of shortages, overloads, or damaged merchandise; refer customer complaints to supervisor.
  • Attend department and company-wide meetings as requested.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor.
  • Operate a forklift.
Essential Skills
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy merchandise.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred but not required.

Work Environment

This position operates in a medium work environment, which includes exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The work performed will include lifting, reaching, standing, sitting, stooping, and walking. The shift is Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM with a 1-hour lunch break.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norfolk, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $19.00
