Soliant is looking for a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team in Southport, IN. This full-time, school-based position involves working with students who have diverse learning needs. As a SPED teacher, you will create tailored educational plans, collaborate with other educators, and ensure the delivery of high-quality instruction that meets each students individual goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on students needs and abilities.
  • Modify and adapt general education lessons to support students with disabilities.
  • Provide individualized instruction in various subjects, ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure prehensive support for students.
  • Maintain records, track student progress, and participate in IEP meetings and evaluations.
  • Provide a nurturing, structured, and supportive classroom for students with emotional, behavioral, or physical disabilities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid Indiana Special Education teaching certification.
  • Experience with IEP development and implementation.
  • Strong munication and teamwork skills.
  • Previous experience in a school setting or with special needs students preferred.
