Small Company Controller

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Supervise and mentor a small team of accounting staff, providing guidance and support.
- Develop and implement efficient financial processes and procedures.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax professionals as needed.
- Handle special projects and ad hoc reporting as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field would be nice to have
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop; experience with other accounting software is a plus.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience: 5 years of progressive accounting experience (Controller, Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant)
