Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced CT Tech for a 13-week contract position in West Bend, Wisconsin. This position is set to start on 11/25/2024 and runs through 02/27/2025. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled and motivated individual with experience in CT scanning and diagnostic radiology, and a passion for providing excellent patient care.

As a CT Tech in this role, your primary responsibility will be to operate CT scanners, ensuring that high-quality images are captured for diagnostic purposes. You will work closely with patients to ensure their fort and safety during procedures while adhering to all safety protocols. Additionally, you will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure that diagnostic imaging is pleted accurately and in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality CT imaging of patients, ensuring proper positioning, technique, and exposure.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure that imaging protocols meet diagnostic requirements.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions during imaging procedures, ensuring their fort and safety.
  • Maintain imaging equipment, including performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Document patient information, imaging results, and any relevant notes into the healthcare system.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including radiation safety guidelines, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Provide passionate patient care, especially when dealing with anxious or vulnerable individuals.

Position Requirements:

  • Licensing: ARRT registered RT (R) in diagnostic radiology is required, along with a current State of Wisconsin license as a Radiographer.
  • Certification: Advanced certification in CT is required within 18 months of hire or transfer.
  • Experience: At least 1-2 years of college/university coursework in a healthcare-related field is preferred. Candidates should have prior experience in diagnostic radiology, and prior CT Tech experience is essential.
  • BLS Certification: Must have American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an equivalent certification. This must be pleted within three months of hire.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with CT scanners, patient positioning, and radiation safety procedures.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to municate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. A passionate and professional demeanor is essential when working in patient-facing roles.

Additional Requirements:

  • Education: A minimum of 1-2 years of college or university coursework, or an undergraduate degree in a healthcare-related field, is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Work Ethic: A strong work ethic and a dedication to maintaining high standards of patient care and imaging.
