Position: Special Education Teacher-(Contract position)
Hours: Full time, onsite
Location: Position is near State College, Pennsylvania
Dates: ASAP- End of School year
Pay Range: Hourly pensation ranges for our Special Education Teachers from $30 to $50 an hour. pensation will depend on state and location, years of experience, and level of education.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of students with disabilities.
  • Provide individualized instruction in a resource room setting for students with diverse learning needs.
  • Deliver push-in support in general education classrooms, adapting lessons and materials to ensure students' success.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curriculum and teaching strategies for students with special needs.
  • Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust instructional methods to promote academic achievement.
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that addresses the academic, social, and emotional needs of students.
  • municate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and IEP goals.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development to stay current with best practices.
  • Ensure pliance with state and federal special education laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certification (K-8 or K-12).
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students in a resource room and/or inclusive classroom setting.
  • Knowledge of IEP development, assessment tools, and modifications to meet diverse student needs.
  • Strong munication and collaboration skills to work effectively with staff, students, and families.
  • Ability to manage classroom behavior and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Understanding of federal and state special education laws and pliance requirements.
