Job Description

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving and processing packages delivered through UPS, FedEx, and Amazon, along with some pallets. You will break down and remove pallets, store materials, and label parts appropriately. You will also perform cycle counts once or twice a week, communicate via email and Outlook, and use an ERP system called NetSuite. Supporting the manufacturing team in a Kanban setting, you will receive pick lists, pick materials, package and label them, and deliver to manufacturing. You will manage interdepartmental transfers and maintain inventory control.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and process packages delivered through UPS, FedEx, and Amazon.
  • Break down and remove pallets, store materials, and label parts appropriately.
  • Perform cycle counts once or twice a week.
  • Communicate via email and Outlook.
  • Use an ERP system, specifically NetSuite.
  • Support the manufacturing team in a Kanban setting.

Essential Skills
  • Experience in shipping and receiving.
  • Proficiency in inventory control.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks.
  • Strong counting skills and accuracy in data entry.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Knowledge of handling dry ice and cold room storage.
  • Flexibility to take on new tasks as needed.
  • Good numerical and counting skills.

Work Environment

The work environment includes some cold storage locations with temperatures as low as minus 20 degrees. The typical work schedule is 8am to 5pm, with potential for overtime and occasional weekend work due to inventory audits.
