Manual Machinist

Currently hiring a Manual Machinist in the Joliet, IL area. Hiring immediately.
Pay(PAID WEEKLY): $27-$35/HR. OT available.
Shift: 1st (7AM-3:30PM) Must be willing to come in early for OT.

Job Description:- Perform layouts, set up, and operate conventional machine tools as required.
- Read and interpret all drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Design setup methods where none exist.
- Instruct other shop personnel on proper machining techniques.
- Continually improve methods to deliver higher quality with improved costs.
- Completion of a machinist apprentice program or equivalent training.
- Ability to hold close tolerances and conduct component inspections.
- Ability to setup machine tools: ID / OD Grinders, Turret Lathe, Engine Lathe, Horizontal Boring Mill, Vertical Boring Mill, Radial Drill, Planer Mill.
- 4+ years of experience in machine shop operations.
- Willingness to work in a team environment.
