Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Facilities Shift Supervisor, the incumbent adjusts, repairs, troubleshoots and maintains heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Must adhere to the Seminole Tribe's Policies and Procedures.
  • Performs all preventive maintenance on systems and maintains applicable log books.
  • Conducts walk-through inspections; changes belts, filters, adjusts air volume dampers, checks gauges, coils, drain lines, bleeds gas lines, resets compressors, check unit sensors, relocates ductwork and troubleshoots to locate sources and cause of malfunction.
  • Assists with estimating parts, supplies, equipment and labor hours needed to complete assigned repairs and monitors computer for malfunctions.
  • Maintains quality of air, air flow and temperature at on and off-site facilities; adjusts valves to regulate temperature of lubrication oil and flow of water through system.
  • Records gauge readings, repairs completed and time lost due to inoperative equipment.
  • Maintains technical logs and records all relevant data as appropriate.
  • Knowledge of Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s policies, procedures and schedules to insure minimal interruption to business operations and to prioritize projects appropriately.
  • Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.

Performs all other related and compatible/non-compatible duties as assigned.


Qualifications

High school diploma or technical certificate as well as a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ experience with commercial/industrial equipment or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Work Environment:

  • May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.
