Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are on the lookout for a Sr. Accountant to be a part of our team in the High Tech - Electronics industry. The role is based in Irwindale, California, and offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As a Sr. Accountant, you will play a crucial role in preparing and analyzing financial statements, conducting audits, budget monitoring, and maintaining company ledgers, among other responsibilities.Responsibilities:
• Prepare, analyze, and maintain financial statements and reports.
• Conduct regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures, and investments.
• Monitor budgets to maintain the financial integrity of the company.
• Forecast revenue and analyze profit margins.
• Oversee bookkeeping and payroll functions.
• Direct internal and external audits to ensure full compliance with financial legislation.
• Reconcile bank statements and calculate tax payments and returns.
• Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports.
• Report to senior management about market trends, financial forecasts, and company's financial performance.
• Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
• Advise on the financial implications of business decisions and strategies.
• Communicate with partners, stakeholders, or clients as needed.• Proven experience in a Senior Accountant role within the High Tech - Electronics industry
• Comprehensive knowledge of Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
• Proficiency in maintaining General Ledger and recording Journal Entries
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
• Experience in Month End Close processes and procedures
• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for accounting and financial management
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate financial data and create reports
• Excellent communication skills for effectively liaising with management and other departments
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Relevant professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred.
