Robert Half is partnering with a growing healthcare company for their HR Director opening This is a newly created position and will be a key member of the leadership team and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Human Resources within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record preferably in a healthcare settings, adept at creating training and employee development programs, updating policies, and ensuring legal compliance. The HR Director will also take an active role in employee performance management, conducting employee reviews, and representing the HR function to the board.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the HR department, collaborating with senior leadership to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate training and employee development programs to enhance skills and performance across the organization.
  • Update and maintain the employee handbook, ensuring compliance with current employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with labor laws and regulations to ensure the organization remains compliant with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Oversee the employee review process, working with managers to set clear expectations, evaluate performance, and support employee growth and career development.
  • Prepare and present HR-related reports, metrics, and updates to the board of directors, offering insights on employee performance, engagement, and development.
  • Address and resolve employee relations issues, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Oversee recruitment efforts to attract top talent and ensure strong retention strategies are in place.
  • Oversee company’s community support initiatives
  • Analyze and manage company benefit plans ensuring competitiveness and compliance with legal requirements. Includes annual renewal negotiations, open enrollment and maintenance. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • PHR or SPHR certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in HR, preferably in a healthcare environment (healthcare not required)
  • Experience in growing/building an HR department
  • Lead/mentor a team of 3
  • Comfortable with public speaking (i.e. presenting to the board and leadership team)
