We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will play a key role in representing our clients in complex civil litigation matters. This position demands a candidate with a keen understanding of litigation processes and procedures, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing a diverse case load, a deep understanding of legal principles, and the ability to think strategically and creatively to successfully argue cases.
Responsibilities:
1. Represent clients in all phases of litigation, including investigation, pleadings, discovery, pre-trial, trial, settlement and appeal.
2. Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents.
3. Manage discovery, including taking/presenting witnesses for deposition.
4. Develop litigation strategies and present case theory to senior management.
5. Conduct legal research and analysis of applicable laws, regulations, and legal precedents to prepare for trial.
6. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to resolve matters favorably and efficiently.
7. Provide legal advice and guidance to clients throughout the litigation process.
8. Participate in court proceedings, including hearings, conferences, jury trials, and bench trials.
9. Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and advice on legal matters.
10. Comply with all legal standards and regulations, and maintain the ethical and professional standards of the legal profession.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school is required.
2. Must be a member in good standing with the state bar of Florida
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation attorney, including substantial experience in trial proceedings.
4. Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and cases.
5. Exceptional analytical skills, with a strong ability to draft and review legal documents and advise clients on complex legal matters.
6. Excellent negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving favorable settlements and verdicts for clients.
7. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
8. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
9. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
10. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to resolving issues and challenges.
11. Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal principles and facts clearly and persuasively.
