Job Description

As a CNC Machinist, you will operate a vertical milling machine and have experience with G-Code for programming and editing CNC operations. This role involves producing high-quality parts and components by programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and safety. You will not need to create G-Codes from scratch but will need to understand and edit them. Additionally, you may be required to perform light maintenance and upkeep on machines.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a vertical milling machine
  • Edit and understand G-Code for CNC operations
  • Produce high-quality parts and components
  • Set up and operate CNC machines
  • Perform tooling changes as needed
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and safety
  • Conduct light maintenance and upkeep on machines
Essential Skills
  • Experience with vertical mill operation
  • Proficiency in editing and understanding G-Code
  • Ability to perform tooling changes
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with maintenance and upkeep of machines
  • Ability to perform set up and tear downs
  • Troubleshooting mechanical issues
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software

Work Environment

This position is for the 2nd shift, with flexible start times between 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm or 4:00 pm - 12:00 am. You will be working in a heavy manufacturing environment.
