Job Overview:
As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will work directly with children to assess, develop, and implement behavior intervention plans aimed at promoting positive behavior and improving communication and social skills. You will collaborate with families and other professionals to provide the best possible outcomes for our pediatric patients. We are looking for a dedicated individual who is professional, ethical, dependable, and committed to ongoing growth and clinical excellence.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Behavior Assessment & Plan Development: Conduct thorough behavioral assessments, including functional behavior assessments (FBA), and create individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) tailored to each child's needs.
- Implement & Monitor Interventions: Develop and oversee the implementation of evidence-based interventions. Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes for each child.
- Family & Caregiver Education: Provide ongoing support and training to families, caregivers, and staff on behavior management strategies, reinforcement techniques, and how to implement the behavior plan at home and in the community.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, educators, and therapists to provide coordinated care and ensure that the child's goals are being met across all environments.
- Supervision & Mentorship: Provide supervision and guidance to behavior technicians, interns, and other support staff. Foster a learning environment that emphasizes professional development and the use of best practices in ABA.
- Ongoing Professional Development: Stay current with the latest research and best practices in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and continue to develop professionally through continuing education opportunities.
- Data Collection & Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and progress. Analyze data regularly to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and adjust as necessary.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Ability to effectively communicate with children, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adjust treatment strategies based on ongoing assessment and progress.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
- Knowledge of ABA principles and a commitment to utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Ability to remain calm and adaptable in challenging situations and maintain a positive approach to problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred but not required)
