Job Description:
We are seeking a full-time Social Worker to join our team in Buffalo, NY. The Social Worker will provide support to students, addressing their social, emotional, and behavioral needs to help them succeed both academically and personally. This role involves working closely with students, families, and school staff to develop intervention strategies and promote positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students with social-emotional and behavioral needs.
- Develop and implement intervention strategies and behavior plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to address students' needs.
- Participate in student support meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as needed.
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
- Serve as a liaison between the school and community resources, connecting students and families to needed services.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) and valid NY State Social Worker certification (required).
- Experience working in a school setting or with school-aged children (preferred).
- Strong understanding of behavior management and social-emotional interventions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Pay Rate: $35-$45 per hour, depending on experience.
