ProCare is thrilled to offer a full-time opportunity for an experienced School Nurse to join our team for an assignment with a local school district. This role offers a rewarding chance to enhance student health and well-being in a supportive and collaborative educational environment.

Job Details:

• Location:Beverly Hills, MI
• Full time or 2-3 days/week (current nurse is willing to stay on part time)
• Bus riding duty required with the student
• 1:1 position but will work in a small special ed classroom where all adults work as a team
• Working with an elementaryboy on a ventilator who is very mobile still
  • Can sometimes have aggressive behaviors, they are looking for a para for him
  • Currently they don't really have anyone else medically trained to sit with Lex during lunch (in case he were to need medical attention), which has burned out the current nurse
• Ok with an RN, LPN or CSN if they have vent experience
• Child knows how to put ventilator back in if it falls out but needs help with the mobility of the equipment, or help with troubleshooting issues that may arise with equipment
• Other duties: daily monitoring of vitals especially in cold months; advising school staff when to limit activity, or in rare cases to call 911 if needed to be transported by ambulance, academic support as needed (note taking, etc)
• May include refreshing tutorials for other staff in his care in case the lead nurse has to miss a day for any reason, so that other staff feel comfortable taking over

Qualifications:

• Michigan State Licensed Practical Nursing License

Compensation:
As a contracted professional with ProCare, you will be paid at an hourly rate on a weekly basis as a W-2 employee. We value your time and compensate you for all hours worked, including time spent on indirect services. Your hourly pay rate is customized based on your experience level, ensuring competitiveness among other contractors.
