We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Restaurant General Manager to lead our casual dining restaurant in Totowa, NJ. As the Restaurant General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's operations, ensuring that our guests enjoy a memorable dining experience while maintaining high standards for quality, service, and cleanliness. You will lead a team of dedicated staff, manage day-to-day operations, and drive the restaurant's financial performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring that service runs smoothly, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of front-of-house and back-of-house staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction by maintaining exceptional service, addressing customer concerns promptly, and fostering a positive atmosphere.
  • Manage restaurant finances, including budgeting, cost control, and achieving financial targets such as sales, labor costs, and food costs.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, place orders for food and supplies, and ensure stock is properly rotated and stored.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards, including overseeing cleaning schedules and enforcing food safety practices.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure the quality and consistency of food, and to address any operational issues that arise.
  • Implement marketing strategies to drive traffic, enhance brand awareness, and increase sales.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar leadership role in a casual dining setting.
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including staff management, inventory control, customer service, and financial management.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of service.
