We are on the lookout for a REMOTE skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team in Texas, (Houston, Austin, or Dallas). Engaged in the IT industry, your role will be pivotal in bolstering our global communications network using a wide range of technologies. You will be instrumental in handling the design, installation, maintenance, and support of our network systems, and will be involved in integrating business applications in Azure public cloud, hybrid infrastructure, and other third-party clouds.


Responsibilities:

• Ensure high levels of availability and security by effectively managing all network components in collaboration with other teams.

• Play a crucial part in the support and development of LAN, WAN, WLAN, MAN, VoIP, firewalls, TCP/IP, converged fabrics (FCoE, iSCSI), WAN optimization, IP video & telephony infrastructure, and load balancers.

• Undertake the responsibility of supporting and troubleshooting applications developed for major enterprise systems.

• Take charge of maintaining and configuring Cisco routers, switches, wireless LAN controllers and access points, firewalls.

• Conduct packet analysis and SD-WAN configuration tasks.

• Uphold the management of network infrastructure utilizing Fortinet technologies.

• Support Cloud Tenant Connectivity including but not limited to ACLs, VNet gateways, and network isolation within Azure.

• Oversee Microsoft Azure network configurations.

• Implement, maintain, and support networked systems and services hosted both on-premises and in the cloud.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures for network systems, aligning with industry best practices.

• Position: Senior Network Engineer
• Must have 10+ years of experience in a similar role
• Proficient in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
• Experience with Converged Infrastructure
• Familiarity with Fortinet Firewalls
• Extensive experience with Cisco Routers
• Mastery of Cisco Catalyst Switches
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required
• Detail oriented certifications are a plus
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proven ability to manage and maintain secure, large-scale network systems.
