Job Description

The Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Technician will perform, evaluate, and record results on specimens submitted for routine and some non-routine procedures. They will recognize and solve problems under pre-set guidelines and supervision, communicate technical concepts, perform venipunctures, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
  • Collect arterial and venous blood specimens.
  • Perform tests on blood bank, chemistry, urinalysis, hematology, hemostasis, immunology, and microbiology procedure lists.
  • Analyze quality control materials.
  • Work within Lab information system and laboratory pathnet computer system.
Qualifications
  • ASCP or AMT Certification
  • Must have MLT or MLS associates or bachelors degree
  • Experience in blood bank

Work Environment

The laboratory is located on the 3rd floor of the hospital and features windows surrounding the lab, offering a bright and welcoming environment. The team is known for their strong camaraderie, team-building events, and a family-like atmosphere. The lab is equipped with good technology and automation, providing ample learning opportunities and efficient workflow. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $43.00/hr.
