Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist who can perform G&M code edits, setups, tool changes, and manual machining on industrial pumps. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both CNC and manual machining, with the ability to make necessary G&M code edits without the need to program from scratch.

Responsibilities
  • Perform CNC machining and manual machining on industrial pumps.
  • Execute setups, tool changes, and adjustments as needed.
  • Make minor G&M code edits (e.g., G00, G01, G02) to load programs for specified jobs.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accuracy and precision in machining.
  • Set tool length offsets and part offsets to required specifications (up to .0001).
  • Operate CNC machines such as mills, Bridgeport, and lathes.
Essential Skills
  • 2+ years of CNC milling experience.
  • Ability to adjust and change tooling for specified jobs.
  • Proficiency in setting tool length offsets and part offsets to required specifications.
  • Experience in loading programs to the machine and making minor G&M code edits.
  • 2+ years of manual machining experience, preferably with Bridgeport machines.
  • Capability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with Fadal and Samsung CNC machines.
  • Familiarity with writing and editing Mastercam/Worknc programs.
  • Machining experience with steel.

Work Environment

The work environment is industrial and non-climate controlled. This is a 1st shift opportunity with working hours from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Saturday, with half days on Saturdays.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Oak Park, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00
