Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Medical Collections Specialist in Irvine, California. This role is primarily focused on handling collection processes within the healthcare industry and requires significant interaction with customer service and sales representatives to ensure precise collection details.

Responsibilities:
• Manage collections independently, focusing on obtaining payments for medical devices mainly from healthcare organizations.
• Tackle administrative tasks related to accounts receivable.
• Operate with a high volume of collections, being the main point of contact for multiple accounts.
• Conduct account reconciliations meticulously.
• Collaborate effectively with customer service and sales representatives to ensure accurate collection details.
• Handle the pulling and mailing of invoices, ensuring the smooth operation of billing functions.
• Utilize EHR SYSTEM, QAD, Salesforce Platform, and other software tools for efficient collection processes and account management.
• Oversee the posting of payments and the creation of aging reports.
• Administer claim appeals and wire transfer processes.• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Collections Specialist or in a similar role in the healthcare industry.
• Proficiency in using EHR (Electronic Health Records) system.
• Demonstrable experience with Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Familiarity with the appeals process in the medical field.
• Ability to handle billing functions effectively.
• Proven experience in claim administration.
• Strong knowledge of collection processes.
• Experience in using QAD for business processes.
• Proficiency in Salesforce platform.
• Experience in medical collections.
• Ability to manage posting payments effectively.
• Demonstrable experience in account reconciliation.
• Proficient in preparing and analyzing aging reports.
• Experience in handling wire transfers.
