Position: Full-Time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Huntersville, NC. This full-time position involves providing support to the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in delivering speech and language therapy services to students. The ideal candidate will be committed to helping students improve their communication skills and achieve their therapeutic goals in an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in implementing therapy plans and programs for students with speech and language disorders.
• Provide direct therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Conduct individual and small group therapy sessions focusing on communication skills, language development, and social interactions.
• Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to the SLP for adjustments to therapy plans as needed.
• Assist with assessments by gathering data, administering standardized tests, and recording observations.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' communication needs and integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment.
• Prepare and maintain therapeutic materials and equipment.
• Ensure adherence to confidentiality and professional ethics in all interactions and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) or a related field.
• North Carolina State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) or eligibility for licensure.
• Experience working with children in an educational or therapeutic setting preferred.
• Strong understanding of speech and language development and therapy techniques.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and support diverse student needs.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional ethics.
