Job Description

As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately processing customer orders for shipment, scheduling inbound and outbound trucks, maintaining reports, assisting with shipping-related inquiries, and picking orders. This role is primarily based in East Moline and involves more computer and Excel tasks, but you will also fill in on the floor as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately process customer orders for shipment.
  • Schedule inbound and outbound trucks.
  • Maintain shipping reports and logs.
  • Assist with shipping-related inquiries.
  • Pick and pack orders as needed.
  • Create and print labels for shipments.
  • Create and update work orders.
  • Audit materials loaded onto trucks.
  • Audit truckloads prior to shipment.
  • Book truckloads.
  • Troubleshoot material problems.
  • Prepare bills of lading.
  • Receive raw materials.
  • Work with customer service and order entry on special requests.
  • Expedite shipments.
  • Assist with scanning and paperwork.
Essential Skills
  • Forklift experience.
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
  • Data entry proficiency.
  • Experience with packing and picking orders.
  • Proficiency in using Excel spreadsheets.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Multi-tasking abilities.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Familiarity with audits and handheld scanners.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.00
