Key Responsibilities:
  • Therapeutic Services: Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, promoting functional independence and skill development.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Adaptation: Assist in modifying classroom environments and educational materials to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Progress Tracking: Document and track student progress, ensuring therapeutic goals are being met, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
What Were Looking For:
  • Qualifications: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Licensing: Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Nevada.
  • Experience: Experience working with school-aged children, particularly in special education settings, is preferred.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of special education laws and regulations, including IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act).
  • Passion: A genuine desire to work with children and make a lasting impact on their development.
