Our client, a nationwide provider of commercial steel products, has an immediate need for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic, to join their winning team in Streetsboro.

Our candidate of choice will perform preventative maintenance activities and equipment repair in a manufacturing setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
  • Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
  • Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
  • Electrical repairs to include trouble shooting. Repairs dealing with high and low voltage.
  • Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, or straightedges.
  • Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
  • Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, or other measuring instruments.

 

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 5 years as a maintenance mechanic for second shift, 15 years experience for first shift
  • Steel stamping and forming- a plus.
  • Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic experience
  • Experience in a trade school is a plus
  • Ability to lift and handle 50 pounds for certain positions
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues
