Job Title: Oxy Fuel Track Torch Plate Burner Operator

Job Description:

 We are seeking a candidate to operate an oxy fuel track torch plate burner to cut and bevel material. The candidate will cut material up to 3" thick but mostly 1.75" thick material. The candidate will measure and cut material according to blueprints. The track torch has 5 torches that cut and bevel the material simultaneously. The candidate needs to set up, adjust bevels, pressure, tips, speed, etc., on the track torch. They will use a hand torch to assist with any cuts that cannot be made with the track torch. They will use an overhead crane to move material onto and off of the machine.

Requirements:

  • Experience operating an oxy fuel track torch plate burner.
  • Ability to cut and bevel material up to 3" thick, with a focus on 1.75" thick material.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Skilled in setting up and adjusting bevels, pressure, tips, and speed on the track torch.
  • Experience using a hand torch for additional cuts.
  • Ability to operate an overhead crane for moving materials.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in cutting and beveling.
  • Safety-conscious with knowledge of relevant safety protocols.

Shift:

  • 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
