Description: We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Paraprofessional to join our educational team in Richfield, MN. As a Paraprofessional, you will provide vital support to students and teachers, assisting with instructional activities and ensuring that students with special needs receive the care and attention they require to succeed. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and eager to make a positive impact on students' lives.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in the implementation of lesson plans and classroom activities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special needs.
  • Help manage classroom behavior and support positive student interactions.
  • Assist students with daily tasks, including personal care, as needed.
  • Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to teachers.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to support student learning and development.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the creation of individualized education plans (IEPs).

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or higher in education or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working with children or students with special needs is preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to helping students succeed.
  • Ability to follow directions and adapt to changing needs in the classroom.
