Job Description:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our clients construction team in West Palm Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction industry and be adept at handling financial tasks related to liens and subcontractors.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Assist with the preparation and filing of construction liens and ensure compliance with lien laws.
  • Manage subcontractor payments and ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate financial tracking of construction projects.
  • Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of lien laws and subcontractor management.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team


Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
