We are seeking Manual Lathe Machine Operator in the city of Pomona CA 

Key Responsibilities of a Manual Lathe Machine Operator:

  1. Set-Up and Preparation:

    • Select the correct tools and materials for the job.
    • Mount the workpiece securely on the lathe.
    • Adjust machine settings for speed, feed rate, and cutting depth.

  2. Operating the Lathe:

    • Use the lathe to perform tasks such as turning, drilling, threading, and boring.
    • Ensure that the machine operates smoothly and safely while making adjustments as needed.
    • Manually control the machine using handwheels, levers, and foot pedals to shape and cut the material.

  3. Quality Control:

    • Inspect finished parts for accuracy and dimensional specifications using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
    • Ensure the parts meet tolerance requirements and make adjustments as needed.

  4. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

    • Perform basic maintenance, such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting the lathe.
    • Troubleshoot issues with the machine, such as tool wear, alignment, or mechanical problems.

  5. Safety:

    • Follow safety protocols to avoid accidents, such as wearing protective equipment and ensuring that the work area is clear of obstructions.
    • Stay alert to the machine’s operation and any unusual sounds or vibrations, indicating potential issues.
