Job Description

An electrical helper provides support to electricians and other electrical professionals in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist electricians in installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment
• Carry tools and materials to worksites
• Measure and cut wires and conduit
• Perform basic electrical calculations
• Assist with troubleshooting electrical issues
• Clean and maintain tools and equipment
• Document work performed and communicate progress to team members
• Follow safety procedures and protocols

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an electrician apprentice program preferred
• Experience in the electrical trades desirable
• Basic math skills and ability to read and interpret technical documents
• Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders and working in confined spaces
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
