Job Title:Part-Time Occupational Therapist (OT)

Location:Detroit, MI

Position Details:

  • Schedule:Part-time, flexible hours.
  • Start Date:ASAP
  • End Date:End of the current school year, with potential for renewal.
  • Location:Onsite at a school in Detroit, MI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students abilities to determine therapy needs related to motor skills, sensory integration, and daily living tasks.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's goals.
  • Provide direct therapy services in individual or group settings to support skill development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy strategies into classroom routines.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
  • Participate in IEP meetings to provide input on occupational therapy-related goals.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and state/federal guidelines for therapy services.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Active licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Michigan (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Experience working with children in schools or similar settings (preferred).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage a flexible schedule and prioritize tasks effectively.
