Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in ETNA, Ohio. As a Staff Accountant, your main role will be to handle and oversee various accounting tasks, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and effectively communicating with various departments, clients, and vendors.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the preparation of monthly account reconciliations for different Balance Sheet accounts, including detailed reconciliation with supporting documentation.
• Assuring the accuracy and timeliness of recurring and ad hoc journal entries for various General Ledger accounts.
• Facilitating vendor setup and effectively applying vendor payments to accounts receivable.
• Providing backup for the Accounts Payable function and preparing weekly check runs.
• Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and accounting statements for senior management.
• Conducting monthly analysis of Income Statement and Balance Sheet accounts and explaining variance fluctuations.
• Providing necessary supporting documentation to internal/external auditors for various audits throughout the year.
• Working cross-functionally with other departments, clients, or vendors to ensure the accuracy of account activity and resolving issues as needed.
• Utilizing Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams to execute daily tasks.
• Reporting to various local unions monthly and handling contractor, city, occupancy registrations.• Comprehensive understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) processes
• Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with bank reconciliations
• Expertise in handling general ledger tasks
• Ability to prepare and analyze journal entries
• Familiarity with month-end close procedures
• Knowledge of NetSuite financial software
• Experience with Oracle financial management systems
• Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software
• Familiarity with SAP business software applications
