School Psychologist - Newberry, SC
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year in Newberry, SC. As a School Psychologist, you will be instrumental in supporting the psychological and educational development of students, fostering a safe and nurturing environment, and collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to create the best outcomes for our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans
(IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Provide counseling and mentoring to students, addressing emotional, social, and behavioral issues.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support students' academic and emotional well-being.
- Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide programs that foster positive educational environments.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing valuable psychological insights.
- Conduct crisis intervention and provide support during emergencies.
- Stay current with the latest research and best practices in school psychology.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Valid School Psychologist certification/license in the state
- Experience working as a School Psychologist in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of child and adolescent development.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
- Proficient in using various assessment tools and interpreting results.
