Job Posting: Full-Time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Location: Mount Vernon, WA
Position Overview:
Mount Vernon School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. In this full-time role, you will work closely with students, teachers, and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and provide support to students with behavioral, social, and academic challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement evidence-based behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA.
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students with autism and other developmental disabilities.
- Collect and record accurate data on student behavior and progress.
- Assist in developing social skills, communication, and self-regulation strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure student success.
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all students.
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associates or bachelors degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience working with children with autism or other special needs is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
