School-Based Occupational Therapist

Location: Attleboro, MA

Job Type:Part-time Contract Position, 3 days per week

Assignment Dates: ASAP - 11/1/2024. Chance of extending as well.

Caseload: Preschool

We are currently working with a great school district near Attleboro, MA who isseeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist for the current school year. Interviews are being conducted now

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Active Massachusetts OT License.
  • Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is preferred.
  • Prior school-based experience is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate students' needs and develop tailored therapy plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom setting.
  • Deliver direct therapy services focused on motor skills, sensory integration, and adaptive techniques.
  • Develop and lead training sessions for educators and parents on strategies to support students with various needs.
  • Track and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to achieve optimal outes.
  • Contribute to the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and attend related meetings.
